Underway aboard the land boat
Well. The visit in Saint John was too short but then it always is. When we started the MoHo to get of the ferry I noticed that the passenger side headlight wasn't working on low beams. Plus I took a meter to the house battery bank and discovered that even after being plugged in for weeks it only barely had 12V! Those of us who are used to living by our battery banks know that a fully charged 12V battery bank with no load on it should read over 13V and that 12V means a battery with problems. Sigh! Off to the store for a new headlight and two new deep cycle batteries.
Then this AM we were off. Crossing the border was made a pleasure by a friendly professional customs agent which was a very pleasant change from the knob that we met crossing over last February. Kudos to the US Border Servicea for having guys like this represent the country.
We called it quits at the Kennebunk Service Center between Portland and Boston. Barb was thrilled when she saw that there was a Starbucks in the food court. I guess that will be stop number one tomorrow morning.
