Insulation shminsulation

Yesterday we had a wee trill of excitement at the office. The building is the old town firehall and is old enough to have some questionable construction techniques carried out in it so when the guys were up in the attic looking for a leak in the roof, one of them saw what he thought might have been asbestos insulation so we had to call him back down and send him out for a shower and close the place back up. This morning an inspector came around at our request and climbed up to check it out and take samples. Turns out it's rock wool, a very low grade of fibreglass, that was used in the old days. Harmless, but not much good for insulation. Even so, there was a 24 hour period of excitement.
The mad cap social whirl of Shelburne continues as last night we went out for what turned out to be a Birthday Dinner for one of our friends. BBQ pulled pork and beef brisket was on tap as well as several other sorts of alcoholic libations so I'm a little fuzzy today. I do seem to recall that we invited a bunch of the folks over to our place on Sunday so I better get my cooking cap on.
