Home again, home again......

....Barb is coming home again.
Today!
Yippee!
And not a moment too soon. Apparently one of the good ladies that was in one of the other four beds went home yesterday and was replaced by the self centred, trailer-trash patient from hell. Good thing I'm not picking Barb up otherwise there would be a wee bit of a scene, I'm afraid.
Our daughter is driving in from Saint John, NB to pick her up and drive her down here to Shelburne where she will stay for several days to help us out as I have to go to work and it will be great for the first few days if there would be someone here with Barb while she acclimatizes herself to life outside the hospital with her new knee.
I have walker proofed the house as much as I can and have dinner ready to put on when they get back. I have planned salmon-en-croute with mashed potatoes and vegetables but I haven't figured out much beyond that. I expect I will end up going with fruit in yoghurt for desert along with tea. White wine with the main course, of course.
Back to fidgeting while I wait.
