We have arrived at Provincetown Cape Cod Massachusetts, to give the place its full name. I have been here once before with Chinchimo, my Tancook Island Schooner. I came in here to make repairs to my tiller then and from what I here of the place it is very much the same albeit more expensive.
We decided to come in here to rest and to let Barb's stomach settle down. The last three days have been rough in both of us but on her most of all. Even today in relatively calm waters she still has an upset stomach. I am hoping that a night at anchor followed by a couple of days in Onset while we are making repairs will help her out. We decided to take a mooring in spite of the price ($3/ft). Yep, that what I said. It's going to cost us nearly $150 to stay on a mooring for one night, but after the last couple of days I think it's worth it. Just once.
We will have a late dinner and drink some of the gifts that we received before our departure which should lead to a good night's sleep.
Tomorrow will be a full day with crossing from the Cape to the Canal, topping up the fuel tanks at Point Independence Yacht Club followed by clearing customs, if we haven't already done so, and then taking one of their moorings if they have any available. If not we will anchor. I would prefer to pay them their $30/day for the mooring which gets us the dingy dock in a secure area and access to their showers.
Oh, and on a final note. I had almost forgotten about that delightful pass time sailing in these waters - dodging the crab pots.
Whoopi!
