S/V NELLEKE

The ship's blog for SV Nelleke out of Shelburne, NS

Second post for today...

.....and what a day it has been. We have everything we need to fix the Autohelm I think. All we need now is shorepower.

We spent the afternoon looking for a new pair of shoes for Barb which we eventually found in the form of a pair of lavender Merrells. I have never heard of the manufacturer but Barb tells me pointedly that she has and she won't be lost in the fog I can tell you.

We are back on the boat waiting until tomorrow to see if we can get away. The wind is howling like a winter storm so it will be a matter of seeing if the sea will lie down enough for us to make an escape tomorrow. We have the marina's assurances that we can stay another day if we have to. At least it isn't as bad as our friends are getting back home as Teddy is going to come ashore directly in the middle of the province.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Still daydreaming about the B&B last night. Thank you again to our benefactors.
