Preparation Continues

This past weekend was the first that we actually had some decent weather, although the forecast didn't call for it.

We took the opportunity to do some of the outside work on the boat and cut and glued the wood together for the soundbox for our new generator. I think that it'll be finctional and look pretty good to boot with varnished oak hatches and seat cover.

On the down side we discovered that we need to make repairs to the anchor windlass electric motor again. I can't fault the machine as there was a short in th eswitch that I wasn't aware of and it allowed a small voltage to pass through the motor and probably dislodged one or more of the permanent magnets.

On the up side, Standard Horizon seems to be able to fix the problem that we have been having with the wind instruments. We are just awaiting a new part to be sent in.
