Big plans but a lazy day

I can't believe what a lazy slug I have been all day, without enough energy or vim, vam, vooie to get out of my own way let alone do the chores that I had planned. I was able to summon up the energy to buy the necessary to make the davit lift points for the dingy, and with Jay and Mary Lou's kind cooperation we were able to drive to a Publix to buy some groceries, but for the rest, I have done squat. Oh well. We do have a couple more days at the dock.
That brings me to the big point here. The Dockmaster, a fellow named Kevin, has done us a huge favour. First, he has given us the weekly rate for the dock without charging the extra for electricity; secondly, he basically wrote off the two days that we spent on the mooring; and finally, he credited the $90 that we paid for the week on the mooring to the weekly charge for the space on the dock. Now that I think is pretty decent!
The head repair kit didn't arrive before noon today which is just as well since I didn't have the gumption to do anything with it, much less put on the dive gear and go over the side. I have pretty much decided that I will be doing that at slack tide as otherwise there is a 2 knot current here and I am really not interested in swimming like a mad thing just to stay alongside of the boat, neither am I interested in hanging on by my teeth on the mouthpiece as the current tries to sweep me downstream. At any rate, I guess that tomorrow is the big day for a lot of the work. As I said everything is in readiness.
Tonight Mary Lou and Jay are coming over for BBQ and discussion of what our joint plans will be for the trip north. We have bought some NY strip steaks to BBQ on the grill. Drool. I am a carnivore!
The local weather forecast is for a real humdinger to pass through here over the next couple of days. We have doubled up the lines and I am expecting a lot of transient boats to stop here at the marina. We will be waiting that out before heading on up north.
