A day off! Not really .... boat work

I have a day off work but am getting the chance to work uninterrupted on the boat projects for once. Don't get me wrong, I believe that I have expressed my point that I really enjoy working at the store, plus I appreciate the pay, but there are times that I would like to be able to devote more time to working on the list of jobs that we need done before setting off this fall. Oh, well. Like I said before, what will get done will be done. How profound is that? I should take to sitting on a hill and wearing sheet so folks can approach me with all due deference as the guru of boat work.
Today we took a break at mid day to have our morning and lunch meal combined with Kayt and Chris's girlfriend Taunya at the Sqn. The brunch was a relatively simple affair with a choice of about 6 different brunch items plus the regular menu and unlike the buffet style that was often offered at AYC, this was table service. I'm not sure which I like more. With the buffet you can control your portions and of course you can always go back for seconds, but with the table service you get to be lazy. Hmmmm? Lazy or more food? Considering I have to watch my waistline these days I guess I'd be better off without the temptation.
In the tool crib project we now have the finished layer of wood on and have started to put on the trim. Next will be the doors and the varnish. It's amazing what sins moulding lathe will cover up and make anyone look almost like they know what they are doing. No photo of it today, I'd like to save that for the end state.
