For all you present and future Admiral owners,we were sucessful in both sending and receiving e-mail using our Icom 802 HF Radio with the Pactor Modem and Win-link.
The only change we made to our boat is we did not use the factory installed antenna .We installed our antenna as a seperate rope running from a pad-eye on the deck to a pad-eye on the mast just below the upper shroud . The rope had the centre core removed and a wire in it's place.We transmitted through a radio station in Durbin which is about 700 nm away from The Royal Cape Town Yacht Club.
