Boat in storage

Mike & Monica
We arrived at the boat yard on Sunday evening. We met another American sailor that is finishing up his 2 year sabatical in the Med before returning to work. We spent the evening stripping everything off the deck including sails and other safety equipment. The boat was hauled at 10:30 Monday morning where we finished cleaning up everything we could. Took a cab to the airport and caught our 18:55 flight to Marseille. Today we are going to Chalon to take care of some final business and tomorrow we go visit our good friends the Helmlingers in Thiers. You could say this was a voyage that started in 2002 when we moved to France. When we close our bank account in Chalon today we will no longer have any personal property on French soil. This is our final entry for this part of our voyage thru life. We are planning to visit the Greek isles next year are are already looking forward to starting the planning.
