Neverland Journey

Adventures since 2011

July 8th Wednesday

Spent the day in Corfu town as tourists. But also spent time at the Vodaphone dealer. Turns out the marinas do not offer wifi. The restaurants do, but the service is so poor it is not even worth bothering. We bought a mobile hotspot but the vodaphone service was down and it couldn’t be initiated until the next morning. This is part of the reason for the delay in blog posting.
We walked down the narrow streets lined with vendors of the classic tourist items. Our first stop was at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St Spyridon in the center of town. It was beautiful. No pictures permitted, though. Also visited the Palace of St George and St Michael and then a hike to the top of the Old Fort.
In the evening Mike made a deal on the dock with one the local engine repair mechanics for a used 3.5hp engine for our dinghy. I think he is happy-no more rowing!-at least we hope.
