Neverland Journey

We left the anchorage motoring this morning at 135 degrees M. The weather has been no wind in the morning picking up in the afternoon to gusts and then by sunset back to calm. Well, not today. The wind started building as usual around 2pm. We were doing great under all three sails on a broad reach with following seas. Then the dolphins came to play! They were jumping through the waves and playing with the bow of the boat. It was great to see my best creatures again!
We started around the point and the wind got "crazy!" as Mike put it. We dropped the main and rolled in some of the jib. The mizzen was still up. We were back on a broad reach and were in what must have been easily 30kt winds with gusts. But I could be exaggerating. In the tiny harbor wind gusts are still up to 18-20 with a hope they will drop through the night. We traveled about 38 nautical miles. Tomorrow we head further for about 13 nm.
