Port Kayio
We woke in the morning to dead calm. It's hard to believe. We are really thankful for our anchor and heavy chain. We are now really confident that it serves us well in heavy winds.
The one thing about Greece is the abundance of kindness-but kindness seems to be the trend we notice everywhere we sail. Perhaps we see a different world than others do. I'm not sure.
We took the dingy into the little village to try to find a trash can and water. We walked all around the place and could not find a dumpster. Then one of the restaurant owners flags us down and takes our trash and offers us the hose from her shop to fill our water jugs. In a gesture to show our thanks we stayed and bought a cup of coffee and sat on the veranda of her taverna.
We left there around 11:45 under light winds.
