Awoke through the night to wind and waves at 5-8 feet! Never seen them this high so far in the Med! And we experience them at anchor. We realized we chose the wrong side of the anchorage to spend the night-oh well. Battery alarm goin off. Took some strength to weigh anchor. Finally got them both up at 8:30 am. Motored out of the anchorage toward Kissamo to find a way to get a new battery. Also, we were seeking more protection from the wind. We were too busy to check the wind speed, but it sure was high. We turned the point and sailed downwind under the jib. They weren't kidding when they said the Aegean Sea had fits, starts, gusts and crazy squirrely wind and waves.
We arrived at Kolpas Kissamou Bay at 9:30-no waves.
Tied up to quay in marina at 1100 am. And then the battery adventure that was posted on Facebook began. We are blessed. Pray we can be a blessing to others.
