The wind speed and waves have been going down today so we are much more comfortable. We are still downwind sailing toward our destination maintaining 6+ knots. We sat outside most of the day because it is finally warm.
There are other boats out here other than rally boats. We crossed paths with Pelican of London (photo) this afternoon. Beautiful ship probably headed for the Caribbean.
Neverland moved up to 81�'st position today. Three boats have finished before noon today and there are several others that should finish today.
All of the rally boats have now left Las Palmas except one. Colette is an American flagged Lagoon Motor Yacht catamaran of 63 feet with 3 kids aboard. The owners just picked her up at the factory in Portugal and have had engine problems. They were awaiting a sensor for the engine when we left. There are several small repairs we need to make on Neverland while in Midelo.
