After a fond farewell to Tonga, we're half way to Fiji now

After a wonderful last few days in Tonga, we are on our way to Fiji in company with Alpharatz and just crossed the half way point. We enjoyed yet another pig roast with David and Hika along with 8 other WARC boats to raise money for their school. They did their usual fantastic job and hosted another wonderful cultural exchange with dishes and guitar music shared between all. It was a great farewell. We left early am the next day, but paused for a few hours in another bay to let the 30+kt winds die down a bit. We left in big seas and 25-30kt on the stern and have had lumpy but good sailing under single reef jib alone. We're looking forward to exploring Fiji and having a few days rest after a bumpy ride. Tonga will always be a special memory for us, and we hope to return someday. It is really the people that make it special.
