We're on our way North! After consulting with Chris, our weather router, and looking at our own weather downloads, we had a choice of several days of nice sailing with one day of adverse weather as we get to the Chesapeake, or wait in the Bahamas and then motor for 5 days. Since the adverse weather day on the 20th seemed to be weakening, we decided to go and have Beaufort NC as a backup plan in case it worsens. So we're off sailing and had a good but bumpy sail through the night with several squalls, followed by sunshine and good winds this morning in a bumpy chop. We're hoping it smooths out as we get into more established waves away from the islands. Everyone is healthy and looking forward to landfall in the USA.
