We made little progress last night motoring against an adverse current, making only 5-6kts, so we decided to throw some diesel at it and fired up the other motor this morning. We've made better progress today and are making up a little lost time now that the adverse current has subsided. We expect to motor through the night and see gradual building of wind from the west by morning, and should be sailing again tomorrow. We are planning to enter the gulfstream tomorrow afternoon/evening and get a boost around Cape Hatteras before the wind turns on the 20th, but it looks like the timing may be close at this point. We'll take another look at the weather this evening and tomorrow and make the call, we can divert to Moorehead City, NC for a day if necessary. All is well on board and people are in good spirits, we are enjoying the deep philosophical debate of the youth of this generation on a variety of subjects today...it keeps us young! All is well on NEXUS.
