Happy Birthday to Daisy for 30th 12 years old!
Now Sat 31st & still waiting for Genset to be completed. There was a delay in getting parts from Gold Coast. Appears that they 'missed' the post. However, they arrived yest & Bruce says he will do the job on Sunday. There is obviously a great need for more diesel mecahnics, so if you are thinking of starting a trade, I would recommend that one.
On Wednesday, we went for a' real sail' on Jaffa, around Pulbah Island. We were anchored off Wangi Wangi point & they called by & picked us up. A very enjoyable diversion.
We have mooched around the lake, continuing to enjoy it & environs. There are some beautiful gardens & the roses & dahlias are magnificent.
Took motor etc out of 'Bob' as he was very much in need of a clean. Paddled ashore & turned him over to reveal a bottom covered in barnacles. He has been trailing us around the lake for a few weeks so had gathered some growth.
He is now looking respectable & glides through the water again.
Came back to Wangi Services Club mooring last night so have had a night on shore power & now have fully charged batteries & hot water. Enjoyed a real shower in their facilities last night.
Moving to Rathmines soon to meet up with Dave & boys who are coming out in Brigus. Looking forward to spending time on the water with them.
