Western shore to Eastern shore and back again!
11 May 2016 | Solomon's Island and Oxford, Maryland
It was a long day getting to Solomon's Island so after 59 miles in the fog, we just picked up a mooring ball for the night at 6:45. We had a lot of flies on the boat today - like they were hatching on the water. We also had two birds join us - first a Hummingbird and later a Yellow Finch. Except to take Buddy ashore, we just stayed on the boat.
Tuesday we crossed the bay to Oxford, a town we have never been to. We anchored in the harbour and took the dinghy for a tour. The homes are beautiful, and many look to be summer residences. It seems we are too early in the season (or because its Tuesday) but not much is open - not wven the restaurant we hoped to try! So, back to the boat and Ron cooks again!
