Hello everyone, I'm back! Had some trouble with getting pictures transferred then we got so busy with projects that the blog post was put on hold.
We already left port and now we are in Coos Bay, Oregon waiting out some rough weather. Great time to finally post to the blog. If you click on the map you will see our track to where we are now.
Below is a list of projects we worked on in July.
Cynthia measures the hose
Dale cuts the hose for spare parts we plan to store for later use.
Dale purchased 2 new computers for back-up. Took many hours to install all the data.
Dale goes up the mast to install two additional halyards but was not successful. Had to call Ballard Yacht Riggers and they had troubles too. Took them 2 1/2 days to complete the job.
Dave Clifford, boat neighbor, putting all his muscle into cranking Dale up the mast. Too bad all that hard work didn't have a successful outcome.
Cynthia assisted Dave cranking Dale up the mast, in the past Cynthia did it alone so it was nice to have help this time.
In Mexico it can get very hot, so we needed some shade cover for North Star. Cynthia sews 2 sun shades, one for the bow and other for the stern. It took 32 yards of fabric to complete the job. The condo unit we just sold had a large community room that they let me use to complete my sewing project. Thanks guys.
Here is the bow sun shade completed and up.
