When Life Hands You Lemons...

You know that saying, "when life hands you lemons." The optimist says "make lemonade," the bartender says "grab the gin and tonic," and I say "buy a yellow boat!" Well, that is pretty much how it happened. Josh and I have always talked about going cruising during our lives, but that plan was AT LEAST five years away. That was until my employment was ending. I really enjoyed working in that office for the past 11 years. Great people to work with and great patients. I considered offers to work at other practices, but something else seemed to be calling me. Josh and I had many conversations about actually going cruising now. So, we were tasked with finding a boat and getting her ready. As they say in Rhode Island, "I know a guy." I happen to be married to that "guy" who can find a boat...in a very short time. I have been known to say "do as I say, not as I do" when treating ingrown toenails and I think this time Josh would have the same sentiments in his speciality. He tells his clients to find a boat a couple of years before they go cruising so they can get to know her, get her outfitted, etc. Well, we didn't do that. We purchased a boat (with our friends Kevin and Lizz) and left the dock in two months! Yep, that's two months.
