Christmas is a special time of year for Josh and me. Since we would not be with our family this year, we decided that we wanted to spend time with our "sailing family." We hosted a Mexican themed party on Christmas Eve in the North Sound. Josh's family tradition is to have Mexican food on Christmas Eve which pays homage to his mother's southwestern roots. We enjoyed having Phil and Monica join us over the holiday from Florida. Along with Monica and Phil, joining us for the Christmas Eve was Chasseur, Pratique, Big Frisky, and Callisto. The day was filled with great conversation, delicious food, friendship, Christmas lights, and even a Yankee Swap. We started off Christmas Day with a trip to the Bitter End Yacht Club for an early walk with Jacques. He was dressed to impress and to bring Christmas cheer to all. We spent Christmas Day on the beach with friends relaxing and exploring. Monica found the largest Hermit Crabs that I have ever seen. After enjoying the North Sound, we sailed to Jost Van Dyke where we caught Foxy's BBQ night. I am not a big fan of BBQ ribs, but I am a BIG fan of Foxy's BBQ ribs. I've been thinking and talking about these ribs for years (since I first had them). They still remain my favorite ribs...hands down! We had a quick sighting of Kurt, Tina, and Sam on Pneumatic when they were moored in St. John.
