While we have been around the USVI and BVI, we have had the opportunity to spend time with Josh's college buddy, Carl, his wife Sarah, and their little one, Sutton. I have always felt that the best thing Josh got out of college was his friends. He has this great group of really cool friends. They are the kind of friends that I think everyone wants in life. Carl is no exception. We last saw he and Sarah at their wedding in Texas. What a party that was (right Janet?). Carl and Sarah are both attorneys on St. Thomas and have been great introducing us to their sailing friends and other locals, receiving packages and mail (and delivering it to us), letting us use their home (it was a much needed recovery from our November/December chaos) and their car, etc. They are members of the St. Thomas Yacht Club where Carl races regularly. We have been able to get out and sail with them, which marked Sutton's first sail at 4 months old. He is quite the sailor...sailing at 16.5 knots. If I didn't get anything else out of this time cruising, I am glad I got to know Carl, Sarah, and Sutton better.
