The wind has been constantly veering over the last 24 hours. Building too. By this afternoon the wind will have done a complete 360 degrees. This has left the sea very lumpy.

My cabin is in the bow of the boat. In these conditions this means that trying to sleep proves to be very difficult - I am airborne for a lot of the time, and if can sleep through that, I am woken by the loud crash of the bow plowing back into the sea! Great fun though!!

It is very physical sailing at the moment, but bleedin' super! Since we left Bermuda we have not had to use the engine until last night, which was for just a couple of hours when the wind turned in to the nose and died. We are hoping to reach the Azores by the end of the week.

Something I wasn't expecting on this trip is that everyone is very superstitious when it comes to talking about the weather and the boat. That said, it is beginning to get cool now that we are heading NorthEastwards. Actually, on every watch, with both the wind and sea being that much cooler, the crew have been putting more and more clothes on! Rather amusing.

Last night myself and Juan made chilli for dinner, and we all sat out in the dark, ate it, and sang songs.

Ok, I am off to do my watch,
T on the sea.
