Weekend Work

Over the long weekend I aligned the engine with the old shaft and drilled and taped the bolt holes for the flexible mounts. The opening from the aft cabin is a god sent it made my life so much easier to work on the coupling and aft engine mounts. I will install a permanent removable panel when I am finished.
I broke my only drill on the first hole I drilled when I hit a part of a weld (hard steel). I when out and bought 3 pilot hole drills, 3-5/16 drills and a second 3/8 tap because I know I would break at less one or maybe two more drills.
Murphy's Law said if you buy spares you wouldn't need them, and he was right again!!!!!
I had to use a right angle drill adapter and remove some engine parts ( fuel filters, oil filter, sea water pump, air filter and hoses) to have access to drill and tap some of the holes.
I have order the rest of the jewelery (hoses and fitting).
I will have photos when the jewelery is installed.
Regards
Derek
