The Crew
We have quickly slipped into the Trinidad pace of life - it has taken 3 days to post this blog!! We arrived at 2130 local on Friday 30th January. The last few miles were frustatingly slow as we lost wind. We had to navigate our way through the Dragoon Tooth's passage - a narrow approach with some menacing rocks - not that we saw them as it was pitch black. We then threaded our way amongst the man unlit yachts until we arrived at the Custom dock. We stepped ashore and soon began to wobble down the dockside as our legs were not accustomed to the solid surface! We checked in with customs and as immigration was closed until the morning we went back on board to celebrate the completion of the trip from Cape own to Trinidad - 5342 miles. Since then we have quickly slipped into the relaxed pace of life here in Trinidad. We are booked into the Crews Inn marina and are enjoying the luxury that it affords. We now need to sort out the web site so that we can post some video clips and pictures taken on our trip. Will update the blog and website as we go along. We have enjoyed reading all your comments on the blog as well as the many emails sent to us at oceansdream.co.uk which we have appreciated and enjoyed reading now that we can get back on line.
