Happy Easter to All Our Followers

The Crew /32 deg C, Brilliant Sunshine although Possily Rain Later
We enjoyed homemade hot-cross buns for breakfast this morning (see pic). They were absolutely delicious ... beat cornflakes hands down. There was no sign of any Easter Eggs but had they have survived in this heat, it would definitely have been a matter of having to eat a whole egg in one sitting (to save any melting of course!).

Sunday, we're off to Savannah Park in the centre of the capital to watch the 10th Annual Kite Flying Festival. It's traditionally held over Easter due the breezy, dry season (although we've yet to experience much of the 'breeze') and the competition is judged in eight categories: highest flying kite, most original design, most acrobatic kite, most colourful kite, biggest and best madbull, best cheekie chong, best box kite and best overall kite. We're particularly intrigued about the 'Cheekie Chong'. The Best Overall wins $TT10,000 (£1,100).

It's the end of week 2 of warranty work on Oceans Dream and the first two jobs have been completed. Well, almost. The seacocks have been realigned to enable them to be shut-off and the glass in the sliding door has been replaced however, the securing bolt that's always been too short to go into the aluminium frame is yet to be replaced. Some others jobs have been started but for a variety of reasons, have yet to be completed. For example, the rudders have been realigned but we await sea trials, the hole in the bottom of the hull has been filled and awaits final coating. We'll update you (as we do Admiral Yachts), as time progresses.

Enjoy your Easter break.
