OceansWatch expedition updates

The southerly due any time now.
We are on a heading of 130 degrees.

Really annoyed not seeing Lord Howe Island, hidden away in the clouds.
There are lots of birds around which makes a welcome change. A few squalls around us but nothing in our way.

We had some lovely Baked Beans with a cheese sauce for lunch. I'm afraid we have not made a dent in the supplies as we have not been very hungry for the first few days. We will have to spend the rest of the trip eating madly to make up.

We are working at the request and in conjunction with the local communities and the national fisheries of Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands and PNG. We will provide transport, training and education and help communities establish and mark Locally Managed Marine Areas (LMMAs) in these countries.
