Taking care of the Magic Roundabout

26 May 2009 | Whangarei
Lily the Frog
Hi ! I am Lily, I am an OceansWatch volunteer and I am working in OW head office, helping with the preparation of the 2009 expedition. But my job is not limited at the administration work, when you really want something to happen, you have to work for it. So for the success of this trip, all the OceansWatch team lended a hand to make the Magic Roundabout safe and beautiful.

I confess it was a hard work doing all this sanding on the boat, but it was worth it when you see the result at the end. And, we had some good laughs too with the other volunteers ! We made jokes, we sang (not always on the tune), we jumped on the scaffolding to polish the boat...

And now the Magic Roundabout is a beauty and ready to go !!! Departure date fixed on next week !!!
