Despite it's beauty I felt a tinge of eeriness when we entered the port- no doubt due to the fatal shark attacks which have occurred four or so years ago when a young child was taken. The anchorage is deep and dark and the loud splashing heard at night indicates that there are some rather large fish below. However, no sharks in sight as of yet. Somehow some mosquito bites became infected and I was struck down by a nasty fever for 2 days unable to move! Schelmi helped the locals by sharpening their machetes.
