What a beautiful morning. The water is crystal clear so we can see our anchor, as well as many small stingrays working their way along the bottom. Humpback whale continue to travel north, crossing the entrance to our bay. I SUPed into shore and strolled along the beach. Not to be outdone, John swam all the way to shore, over 1/2 mile. When he returned we took the dinghy to the point and did some snorkeling. We saw a variety of fish and coral formations.
Once back aboard Odyssey, we weighed anchor and headed to Playa Bonanza, which is located on the east side of Espiritu Santo. We arrived an hour and a half later and anchored off the beach in about 17', with a stiff north west wind blowing us around. We SUPed to the beach, where we hiked and saw more shells than we had ever seen in one place before. Simply amazing. Had a good BBQ dinner and called it a day.
The local evening winds, called Coromuels, came up as we were going to bed and caused waves to pound and roll us around all night. I kept waking up to make sure our anchor was not dragging.
The next mornings sunrise was amazing (look below).
