Day 3 in the Islands

Awoke to an amazing sunrise. OMG, one of the best pictures I have taken! It was Stormy and bumpy out, so John and I decided to forgo snorkeling and to head out for Isla San Francisco, about 30 miles away. We managed to sail for almost two hours before the wind died, leaving us motoring once again. The trip to Isla SF took just over 6 hours, with us getting the anchor down in the middle of the beautiful anchorage. We dinghied to shore and went on a hike around the bay. Beautiful views of the bay, surrounding islands, and Odyssey in the midst of it all.
Back at the boat, we both took a swim, cleaned up, and watched an incredible sunset. We keep remarking how lucky we are to be here. We have been good friends for over 35 years. It's great to have friends like that in your life, and even more amazing to share adventures like this with them.
Like the night before, the southwestern Coromuels came up as we were turning in for the night. Lots of rocking and rolling, but it was fine.
