I will be traveling with my long-time friend Mike on this trip, and we will be joined by my brother Mike in a couple of days.
We arrived in La Paz at about 6:45 pm and were dropped off near the Marina by the shuttle driver. As we lugged our bags down to boat, we knew we were going to have a warm trip, as it was hot, with not a breath of a breeze. On the flight down, the northern part of the Baja peninsula was dry and parched as always. As we got closer to the La Paz area, the scenery changed dramatically, with the landscape becoming a lush green color. This was a result of some heavy rains that occurred recently in the wakes of two tropical storms.

After jumping into the water in the Marina in an attempt to cool off, we headed out for a nice seafood meal. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we ran into some friends who were playing darts. We agreed to join them after our dinner. As Mike and I joined the game, I caught up on local weather and events. Although I am terrible at throwing darts, I was able to close out the last game for my team. Three lucky darts in a row!

We walked back to the boat with a small breeze finally trying to make an appearance. We ended the night by sitting on the dock chatting. The boat was really warm for most of the night, even with fans. In fact, Mike opted to sleep on the deck for most of the night.
