We all woke up refreshed and rested. Mike B had to catch the shuttle back to Cabo airport at 1000, so we all had a quick breakfast at the Dock Cafe before sending him off. Back aboard, Shorty and I washed the boat and tried to restore some order to the chaos. We decided to throw in the towel as far as battling the heat. So instead of reprovisioning and then heading back out to the islands, we booked a few nights in a nearby hotel that has AC and a pool. We were given a ride over there by our friend Jordan in his dinghy. He has his boat docked just across from Odyssey. After checking in we all hit the pool, which was about as warm as the ocean (view from our room). The room AC was glorious though, so Shorty and I spent the evening playing gin in the frosty room. We had a fabulous night's sleep.
