DAY 53 - Ria De Corcubion
07 August 2015

On the recommendations of 2 of John and Jane's friends we decided to come around Cape Finisterre( furthest West we need to go) and into the river of Corcubion. It was wonderful sailing with Peneloppe 3 and Calypso (Nathan and Lauren's boat) not least because we hit a fog bank and were able to stay in radio contact, even when we lost sight if each other. Once up the river the fog lifted and - yes, another lovely bay to lay an anchor down.
Once we made sure the anchor was set and we weren't going to drift into one another we got dingys off the decks and pootled to the beach. Here Nathan and Ricky tied our tenders to Peneloppe 3's rib and John using a long rope tied his to a lamp post , as tide was coming in - genius !!
We explored town for a bit- water, not quite rivière - bit brown and sea weedy, so we didn't have a swim , just shared a beer, huge packet of crisps and pick-a- mix in the town square instead .
Jane suggested a "pot luck" supper on her boat, which turned out to a fab idea.
Lovely food, wonderful company, lots more stories shared and a decision made to make Muros our next stop, then back to our own boats to catch up on some sleep.
Oh .. and fog all forgotten.
Adios for now.
