DAY 59 - Baiona

13 August 2015
Rain, rain and more rain. Baiona is lovely but we've just found out that this part of Spain 'Galacia' is known for having English weather and here the Spanish are well acquainted with umbrellas.
When we arrived 2 days ago it was sunny, so I should have taken my touristy photos of the magnificent castle then instead of today as it looks a bit sad in the rain, as do I in the North Face jacket I stole from Wendy and my Hakuna Matata baseball cap I bought in Disneyland nearly 20 years ago !!
Still we have had time to do boat jobs and despite weather have cycled into town to do tourist things like climb the top of the statue 'Virgen de la Roca" to see the view, even if it is a bit misty . The statue looks pretty high sat on top of rock , so it'll be good exercise if we reach the top and we will have earned out fast food supper. No more healthy Spanish cuisine for us- burgers and pizza tonight with Lauren and Nathan (Calypso crew) then tomorrow ... Portugal here we come.
Love and take care everyone.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOM !!!!
