Just paid a fleeting visit to Nazare to catch that wave but as you can see from the photo the sea was calm. The shot is of the exact spot ( near the lighthouse) that the amazed Spectators stood on February 2nd 2014 and watched in awe as Carlos Burle surfed the 100 foot wave towering above them! As you can imagine we were gutted as this was what we have been training for on Hayling, so we hit the irish bar, with Mike and Jacky, to console ourselves with a Guinness!
Left early O'clock this morning (ok - ten past nine )
to find a new challenge, as surf was so so disappointing !
