DAY 70 - Cascais

23 August 2015
We've had a wonderful stay in Cascais , beautifully timed as it's party time!! The festival of the sea, with live music every night for 10 days on a huge stage by the beach. You can feel the holiday buzz as you wander amongst the Portuguese shops and houses with their tiled walls.

Last night we strolled into the town and listened to the music from the Irish bar in the square. Getting to like Guinness , which I'm sure must be good for me, or perhaps not my waistline.

Today, Ricky spent morning with his head in the engine bay - cross fingers unpowered engine now up to speed. He is such a clever sausage ! Then In the afternoon we went exploring and found some lovely coves, sandy beaches and an american style diner called 'Happy Days' - had burgers and fries - (would have been rude not to.) Oh and I got lost coming back from the shower!! Thank goodness my navigation skills on the sea are better than those on land or we could end up back in Gosport before we actually get to the med.

Rain has just started, so we may just listen to the music in the boat tonight , mind you we don't have any Guinness on board so maybe not!

Catch you later,
Donna and Ricky x

Sad times as evidence is piling up on our shores confirming that we are not looking after our planet.
