DAY 98- Javea
20 September 2015

Today we had an amazing sail from Altea to Javea. The wind was perfect, the sea swell behind us and the sunshine and blue skies above.
We arrived early afternoon and once again had to squeeze the boat between two others and attach the front to a slime line. This is the Mediterranean way so we'd better get used to it I suppose.
As it was Sunday not much was open but we went for a stroll anyway to find something old that we could take a photo of in the hope that Daryl and Candy .. oops Cindy would recognise it from when they lived here. All we could find ( sorry guys) was this manky fountain , which I'm sure has been in situ since the year dot. Not sure about the geezer in the hat either !!
We found an indian restaurant. We were going to have a take away but decided to eat in as the staff were so sweet. We are so pleased that we did. The curry was the nicest I've ever tasted and they gave us cider, popodums and pickles, onion bajiis , icecream and a glass of Baileys on the house. No wonder they have a trip advisor sticker on the window!
We walked back to the yacht club past the fishing boats , filling their holds with ice, in anticipation for all the fish they are going to catch tonight.Let's hope they do better than Ricky today. He did catch a black tuna, trouble was it was too ikle to be a keeper so he let it go. Mind you if it had been bigger we'd never have had the scrummy curry.
So every cloud has a silver lining and the ikle fish gets to swim again.
Night night everyone.
