Off the Grid

We are moving back onto dry land in St. Croix, USVI. Thanks for all of you joining in on our adventure over the last three years:) We will miss living aboard the sv Moerae and the great adventure she has taken us on. This will be our last entry on our sail blogs account, we will not be renewing our blog so you guys stay in touch via facebook and email:) Happy sailing!

Petite Terre

We ended up sailing over from Guadloupe to Petite Terre instead of Marie Galante, since the winds were more favorable for s Terre approach. A wonderful change of plans-this is a top notch island reserve. One of the best snorkels we've seen in a while...the French really know how to live:)

We've spent the last few days at Isle de Caret, a small island off the coast of Guadaloupe. We have cooked out on the beach every evening and met some wonderful locals! Leaving tomorrow:(

Lord of the Flies

23 May 2011 | Jolly Harbour, Antigua

We awoke this morning to a low rumbling buzzzzzz coming from the galley. There is quite literally a CLOUD of flies in the galley, looks much like the Amityville Horror.....
We decided to relocate to try to get rid of the flies, so we sailed for English Harbour with the windows open....seems to have helped!

Sara's Trip to Antigua
