Still enjoying the Bahamas

Rick
Hello friends, we are still cruising around the Bahamas. Since leaving the Berry Islands, we headed south through Nassau and on to the Exumas. Starting with Highborne Cay (pronounced “Key”) where the superyachts hang out, and then to Exuma Land and Sea Park, then to Staniel Cay for a visit to see the swimming pigs, on to Black Point, White Point, Farmer’s Cay and then Georgetown, the capital of the Exumas. It’s a popular place, where about 500 boats were anchored. The Family Island Regatta was starting soon, so we stayed for that and it was awesome. Then we went with our friends Mike and Joyce to visit the Jimentos and Ragged Islands, a very remote and beautiful place. Then it was back to Georgetown for some provisioning and now we are at Cat Island on our way to Eluethera. The Bahamas is wonderful cruising grounds; much more enjoyable than we thought it would be. The people are friendly, the islands are gorgeous, the water is incredibly clear, and the snorkeling is awesome (just watch out for sharks!).
