Raining

09 July 2018 | Pulau Selai
Mick
20180709 Pulau Selai lat 03 deg 12.257'N Lon 106 Deg 29.323'E We had a quick run around here to Pulau Selai this morning, it was quite windy at Pulau Pengedung last night and this morning. I think the wind was funnelling down the channel between the islands, so bieng as the weather is a bit unsettled we thought we would move on and try this out. Its a really nice spot and well protected, but the anchorage is quite deep, we anchored in 17.1 meters with a 1.2 meter tide at Selat Peninting, the anchor seemed to pull in OK, we have a 5:1 scope at the moment. There looks to be a tiny little beach where we may be able to get ashore, but it has been raining since we got here so maybe later today, or in the morning. The weather is a bit unsettled, so we may stick around for a day or to, we will see, there are a couple of anchorages near by we want to try, but they would be better in fine weather. So apart from that alls well, just a bit bored stuck on the boat in the rain.
