We were here a few days ago, we are on our way back to Nongsa now as our Visas run out soon, we still have time so no need to hurry, we just didn't want to push it in case we have problems with the Boat or Weather. We had a nice time down at the Equator, we stayed an extra day and went to shore for a look around. We walked the full length of quite a long beach, we found the ruins of what we think was some sort of fish processing factory, there was also a grave nearby, well maintained and freshly painted, the inscription seemed to be in Chinese but there was a picture of the chap. We also followed a couple of tracks into the interior, one led to a bit of a house with all cut timber stacked up, I couldn't see or raise anyone so didn't have too much of a look around, I think they must have some sort of a timber mill there, I guess its where they get the timber for all of the fishing platforms, as there were also quite a few long stakes around. We also took a dinghy ride around a near by island. In the evening we had a few visitors, they were all very nice, we took some photo's and showed them around the boat. All in all it was a nice day and we are glad we stayed. So alls good, we anchored in 11.4 meters with 1.2 meters of tide at TanjungPinang, good holding, it was sort of a sandy clay when I pulled the anchor the other day.
