20180903 Bukit Tungal Lat 02 Deg 20.893'N Lon 102 Deg 00.519'E We decided to stay at the water islands for a day, it was a lousy day weather wise, but I enjoyed it, it was Father's day, and we had good internet, so we had a chat to the Kids and Grand Kids. Today started much the same as far as the weather goes, it started with a bit of a squall and rain at 04:00 or so, and was on and off all morning until breaking up at about 09:30. So we got under way, but the current was against us, on the bright side we had a bit of wind so sailed all day, just very slow, not sure we saw 5 knots even after the tide turned. But it was a nice day sailing past Melaka, its a big town, we found a good radio station and enjoyed the sail. But going slow meant not making the Marina, so we are anchored here, its quite nice, just a long way out, but I tend to do that a lot. We anchored in 12 meters with 1.3 meters at Tanjuing Keling, the anchor set well. Not much else to say, hopefully the weather is better in the morning, we will keep moving up the straight.
