Last night was a slow old night motoring, but just before 1st light I noticed some breeze, so once there was some light I hoisted the sails. Its only 6 to 8 knots or so but enough to sail, it's frustrating as it drops off from time to time and the swell causes the boat to roll and the boom slams around, but I seem to have found just the right angle and we are sailing along beautifully now, only at 4 to 5 knots but that will do. The boat I am sailing with is keen to head straight for the Seychelles, I am not so sure, but at the moment I am heading slightly south just nicely, and seeing as the wind is a ficklley, I will stick with it for a while. I need to sail for 3 to 400 miles because this passage is famous for being light and I don't have enough diesel to motor the whole way. Everything on board is good, I have been eating well, I haven't settled into the sleep routine yet, but it wont take long. So that's about it, hopefully I can sail all night.
