Well I got here safe and sound, its been a pretty big day though. The wind was pretty light during the night but built steadily, and I had all rag up, trying to get here as quick as possible, so I could clear in to the country before the weekend. All went fantastic we were flying along and about lunch time I got to the spot 2 hours out where I had to call up the port controller and get permission to enter the harbour and be given a place to anchor to await customs ect. So I called, and called, and called again, someone suggested I try channel 12 but still no good, this went on for over an hour. And it says in the instructions not to enter the harbour without permission, so I was reaching up and down 10 miles out wondering what to do. Anyhow I finally got him on Channel 12, and he gave me the spot to go to, trouble was it was getting late. So there I was going as fast as I could into a strange harbour, with ships and all of the associated stuff, when as Murfies law would have it a dirty big thunderstorm decided to throw its hat in the ring, anyhow (thank heavens for GPS) I got to the spot and anchored ok. I was waiting patiently for the officials but it got to 5 o'clock and had I given up and had a bit of a snooze, when all of a sudden I was woken up by a dirty big Pilot boat along side, so they all piled on to Zoa and I started filling out forms, still half asleep. But they were all really nice, and just wanted to get the job done, and it was in no time that they were back on the Pilot boat and on their way. I still have to go to some offices on Monday to pay. I'm still at the same anchorage, I just want to sleep now. 13 days with no longer than 20min of sleep at a time. It was a pretty good trip really, I knew it was going to be light, but it was lighter than I expected. I've got to hand it to that little engine though, it was just purring along hour after hour day after day, I'll give her some new oil and tlc tomorrow or the next day. So that's it going to get some sleep then have a look around in the morning, it looks like a pretty place. Oh yea, I got here with about 70 litres still in the tank.
