I arrived in Cape Town yesterday afternoon, I pretty much had to Motor all the way
from Simons town, I rounded Cape Point in a thick fog, but had quite a good view of
Table Mountain as I approached Cape Town.
Then as you would expect the wind piped up as I arrived, just to make it awkward,
and the race fleet came in to the marina at the same time as me, its pretty tight in here
so it all got a bit stressful, but I managed, Thanks to Tommy and Helene from Bonny
of Stockholm who helped me tie up.
I'm a bit worried about this berth the Jetty is not long enough, I might move.
The yacht club is nice, I had a great Burger last night, the best one so far in South
Africa.
I won't be here long, My son Tom will be here on the 28th so it will be great to see
him, but my Visa Expires on the 8th of Feb so I have to leave by then.
I'm still deciding on the Exact route, I really want to go to St Helena, and end up in
Trinidad.
At the moment I'm thinking, St Helena, Assension, Sunriname, Trinidad.
I'm still deciding about Namibia, Brazil, and French Guyana.
Either way, there are a lot of big sails, but i'm all prepared, even have a new Main.
