Leros - AG Marine Boatyard

26 March 2018 | Leros - AG Marine Boat Yard
17-21c over the 3 week period
We have spent 3 weeks perch on the Hard at AG Marine Bostyard at Partheni why we prepared Ondina for the new season.

The Boatyard Technicans repaired our rudder which had a bit of play in it. This cost 819 euro which I thought was reasonable.

I touched up the coppercoat on the keel where a few rust spots where showing, plus the leading edge. I polished the hull while Carol did a fantastic job painting over our Boot Strap which was looking rather rugged.

Carol got to work on the sailrite making 2 windcatchers and a few other small jobs.

I polished the stainless and washed the boat down so it looks sparklingly clean. Then of course strong winds came from the south, and with them the orange African sand. So the very next day we looked all shabby again!

When the orange African sand came through the sky turned a light shade of orange - quiet bizzarre! The winds also peaked out at 47kts - so quite a blow.

Its great to be back in the water rather than perch high above the ground where Ondina vibrates in the stronger winds - feels so much more comfortable in the water.
