Dad becomes a hero

Sean
The pull cord on our generator broke yesterday which required immediate attention. Without our generator we're down to just our engine charging system. In bucking seas we began to try and disassemble the poor beast only to find that most of her screws were in a frozen state of disrepair. Dad had the immediate idea of performing surgery on the poor creature and got out the drill. Being younger and in my prime I grabbed the drill from Dad's hand and began to butcher the patient. After making a small incision using a concrete drill bit, I began to dig for the remaining pull cord with needle nose pliers. I prodded with all my might in bucking seas and then collapsed in exhaustion. "It's impossible!" I exclaimed. "It can't be done." I walked over to the other side of the cockpit to sulk. Dad then grabbed the pliers and within seconds grabbed the pull cord that I had had failed to retrieve. I ran over to see for myself. "I can't believe it!" I said. To which dad replied, "That is why you fail."

Dad's all full of himself now! I'm getting lectured on everything.
